Teaching fifth and sixth graders how to curl in Enterprise, Oregon
On Monday, February 11, 2013, Boise Curling Club members Jared Belsher and Cat Uphoff were in Enterprise, Oregon, to teach 32 fifth and sixth graders how to curl at the community's outdoor ice rink. The kids loved it! Teachers at the Joseph Charter School in Joseph, Oregon, invited the Boise Curling Club to come and teach their students how to curl as one of their snow school activities. The teachers at the rink were just as excited as the kids were about curling and a few said they were going to try to make their own set of Frankenstones so they can start curling there.
