Learn-To-Curl was a huge success!

Congratulations to the club on an Awesome Learn-To-Curl session on Jan. 15! From that event we added a stunning 15 more members to the club for the spring session which starts up this Sunday, the 22nd of Jan!  More information will follow as the teams and schedule figured out, but we’ll certainly be having a season with more teams, more new faces, and more curling fun! Thanks to all who helped pass the event along and get the news out there about the club and the sport! Well Done Boise Curling Club!

Last Week’s scores added & standings appear to be working

Last week’s scores have been added. The standings and matches are scored and tracked via a plug-in for Word Press and apparently this was configured to be biased against the French (applying a -2 points if you had a French person on your team, thus skewing the standings) – JUST KIDDING! I had the software confgured incorrectly. It should be corrected now, but please – if you see something wrong, let me know. Leave a comment and rest assured, i’ll get it. – Thanks! John

How to make your own Curling Shoes

Later on in the Fall season, we’ll be having a ‘DIY Curling Shoes’ workshop. On this page, in addition to the materials and tools list (they’ll be provided at the workshop) we’ll also have the steps taken and pictures from the workshop to provide a visual aide on how to make your own.

Can’t you spare just 68 cents a day!?

Adopt-A-Rock!

For just 70 cents a day, you can help provide the shelter and education our stones need to mature, grow, and thrive. Under your sponsorship – they can become the mature curling rocks they need – and want  - to be! Your generous contribution of 70 cents a day – that’s only $250 dollars a year – will give these rocks the food, clothing, and care they need. It will supply them with the handle, in one of several primary colors – that they need to be used! They’ll have the warm shelter of the Boise Curling Club storage boxes to keep them out of the elements and safe from danger. For just 70 cents a day they’ll be with friends, curling rocks just like them – knowing that they’re valued and loved.  Can’t you find it in your heart to adopt one of our few remaining stones?
